THE MODERN WEDDING DJ

A Mammoth Jams wedding DJ is long from the cheesy wedding disc jockeys of yesteryear. Don’t get me wrong, there are still a lot of cheesy wedding DJs out there if that’s what you’re looking for, but we certainly do not fall in to that category. Infact, our whole business was built with this in mind. 

So what does the modern wedding DJ look like? Well first and foremost, we know how to mix records (properly!), secondly we really know and LOVE music and most importantly, we know how to get people dancing and how to create an atmosphere through the music we play.

GET TO KNOW US FIRST

We encourage our customers to get to us a bit before they book with us. This can be done on the phone or via Skype, but we recommend arranging a meet up at your wedding venue. 

This gives us a chance to look around the venue with you and decide on things, like, where you want the DJ and dance area to be situated and which lighting and equipment options will work well in your venue. 

It also gives us a chance to have a face to face chat to discuss all of the wedding day specifics. Most importantly, it gives you an opportunity to meet your DJ and know who’s going to be turning up on your big day.

ALL DAY WEDDING PACKAGE

Most weddings we do require us to be available for pretty much the whole day. We’re one of the first to arrive at the venue and normally the last to leave. We usually need to arrive early, so that we can get everything set up and do a sound check before any guests arrive. 

From then on, we’re available for the parts of the day when you need us around and disappear for the bits that you don’t. This includes, setting up the dinner playlist, sorting out mics for the speeches and making any announcements that you want us to make. 

Then it’s the main event - the evening party!

MUSIC
We are invested in tailoring the music to you and your guests. We will work with you in the lead up to get the specifics on all of your favourite artists, tracks and genres and then taking requests from all of your guests and reading the crowd on the big day.

We know how important it is for everything to be just how you want it. Experience has taught us that preparation is everything, so whether it’s face to face, via email or on the phone, we are available to talk through every aspect of the music entertainment.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

All of our packages come with a full DJ set up. This includes, state of the art DJ equipment and speaker, a stylish DJ booth and disco lighting.

In addition to this, we also have some fantastic lighting options that can be added to your package to really enhance the look and atmosphere in your venue. We can also provide wireless mics, so that the speeches can be done from where ever you want them.
